Neck Pain
What is it?
There are multiple causes of neck pain, sometimes they can occur over a long period of time or due to a direct injury. Types of factors that can cause neck pain range from, but not limited to, issues such as; poor posture, joint injury or degeneration, nerve irritation, disc bulges or other forms of arthritis.
Common Symptoms?
Symptoms of neck pain can vary, they can be very isolated to one side or both sides of the neck. You may also experience associated symptoms such as pain or pins and needles to the shoulders, arms and fingers, and possible headaches.
Giving an accurate description of the symptoms and history will allow the Chiropractor to formulate a diagnosis and plan of management to help.
Diagnosis
Here at The Stow Chiropractor, we always carry out an in-depth medical history followed by a thorough physical examination.
During the physical examination the function of your nerves and muscles will be tested, the mobility of your joints assessed and then specialised orthopaedic and neurological tests performed to correctly diagnose your health issue.
Types of treatment
Our Chiropractors tailor all of their treatment plans to you as an individual.
We use a variety of different treatment modalities including; manual therapy, mobility stretches, strength and conditioning exercises and medical acupuncture.
The techniques used are aimed at not only alleviating your symptoms and increasing your mobility but addressing the cause of your problem.
We want every patient to fulfil their potential.
